The Magic of the Cities.

Zen promotes the rediscovery of the obvious, which is so often lost in its familiarity and simplicity. It sees the miraculous in the common and magic in our everyday surroundings. When we are not rushed, and our minds are unclouded by conceptualizations, a veil will sometimes drop, introducing the viewer to a world unseen since childhood. ~ John Greer

Hudson River Greenway

By far the biggest car-free bicycle and pedestrian path New York City has ever seen, the Hudson River Greenway is a continuous 11-mile route between Battery Park at the southern tip of Manhattan and the Little Red Lighthouse underneath the George Washington Bridge. The trail passes through Hudson River Park, Riverside Park South, Riverside Park and Fort Washington Park. [TrailLink]

Be what you would seem to be - or, if you'd like it put more simply - never imagine yourself not to be otherwise than what it might appear to others that what you were or might have been was not otherwise than what you had been would have appeared to them to be otherwise. - Lewis Carroll

New York Light IV

Make Beautiful Manifesto

I am the creator, maker of moments,
Fighter of what I want versus what is expected of me.
I believe beauty is found in imperfections.
Every situation is an opportunity to capture beauty.
Today I open my eyes onto the world.
Embrace that it will become what I make it.
A place that has purpose.
Where stories inspire me to capture them.
It's time to share. Make the world right.
Make the world a work of art.
Make Beautiful.

Share your photos from Hipstamatic to either Twitter or Instagram with the tag #makebeautiful to get them into the stream. To read the Make Beautiful manifesto, and for more info on posting, click here.
