The Magic of the Cities.

Zen promotes the rediscovery of the obvious, which is so often lost in its familiarity and simplicity. It sees the miraculous in the common and magic in our everyday surroundings. When we are not rushed, and our minds are unclouded by conceptualizations, a veil will sometimes drop, introducing the viewer to a world unseen since childhood. ~ John Greer

For Your Eyes Only

Click for Full Screen

In the Art of Dreaming Don Juan tells Carlos,
"… most of our energy goes into upholding our importance…
If we were capable of losing some of that importance,
two extraordinary things would happen to us.
One, we would free our energy from trying to maintain the illusory idea of our grandeur; and two we would provide ourselves with enough energy to ...
Catch a glimpse of the actual grandeur of the Universe."

The spirit listens only when the speaker speaks in gestures.  And gestures do not mean signs or body movements, but acts of true abandon, acts of largesse, of humor.
As a gesture to the spirit, warriors bring out the best of themselves and silently offer it to the abstract.
~Carlos Castaneda

Pushkin Park Metrobus Station

"Have I outlasted all Desire, and My Dreams Have I grown apart; My Grief is left alone Entire, gleamings The Heart of an empty. The storms of ruthless Dispensation Have Struck My Flowery Garland numb, I Live in Desolation Lonely And Wonder When My end Will Come. Thus on a Naked Tree-Limb, Blasted By tardy Winter's chill Whistling,
A single leaf Which Has outlasted Its season Will be Still trembling. "

New York Light V

is not famous. It may be that he never will be.

It may be that when his life at last comes to an end
he will leave no more trace of his sojourn on earth than a stone thrown into a river leaves on the surface of the water.
But it may be that the way of life that he has chosen for himself and the peculiar strength and sweetness of his character
may have an ever-growing influence over his fellow men so that, long after his death perhaps, it may be realized that there lived in this age a very remarkable creature.
