The Magic of the Cities.

Zen promotes the rediscovery of the obvious, which is so often lost in its familiarity and simplicity. It sees the miraculous in the common and magic in our everyday surroundings. When we are not rushed, and our minds are unclouded by conceptualizations, a veil will sometimes drop, introducing the viewer to a world unseen since childhood. ~ John Greer

Wow. This is an impressive photograph. It is hard to imagine that countless people are living on the streets or are so poor that they are starving to death. It is a shame that only mankind has these states -- rich and poor -- and that you never see a poor fish or a rich monkey. And human beings are supposed to be made in the image of god with the ability to know the difference between right and wrong. The suffering in this world among us humans makes Nature seem more respectable. This is a very powerful photograph. Thanks for posting it. And also, thanks for visiting my blog.

Great photoblog! I like both photos and music, they both make a lovely combination!

What's funny I was just listening to Gerry Mulligan Quartet on iTunes, when came to your blog.

I added you to my links at my photoblog ;)

Great Photo. I lived in Mexico City for several months a few years ago and often spent an afternoon in the Alameda. This photo reminded me of the many street kids I used to see there (down at the Diego Rivera end of the park).

I actually like the picture the way it was without the background being edited. Very sad view.
