The Magic of the Cities.

Zen promotes the rediscovery of the obvious, which is so often lost in its familiarity and simplicity. It sees the miraculous in the common and magic in our everyday surroundings. When we are not rushed, and our minds are unclouded by conceptualizations, a veil will sometimes drop, introducing the viewer to a world unseen since childhood. ~ John Greer

Merry Christmas / Feliz Navidad

... Till, ringing, singing on its way
The world revolved from night to day,
A voice, a chime,
A chant sublime
Of peace on Earth, good-will to men!

Fragment from Christmas Bells by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow.

Although I have not been able to get around the City Daily Photo Blogs as much as I would have liked these past few months, especially since the last heart attack, I'd like to drop in at this time to wish you and your family the very best wishes for Christmas.

From Curly at South Shields Daily Photo.

Great picture today too!

What a gorgeous image. Is it from an Aloe or an Agave? And I love the poem too. There is a statue of Longfellow in Menton. It surprised me but seems he lived here for four months of his life.

Wishing you and your loved ones a very happy Christmas. Jilly x
