The Magic of the Cities.

Zen promotes the rediscovery of the obvious, which is so often lost in its familiarity and simplicity. It sees the miraculous in the common and magic in our everyday surroundings. When we are not rushed, and our minds are unclouded by conceptualizations, a veil will sometimes drop, introducing the viewer to a world unseen since childhood. ~ John Greer

Cuernavaca Streets

(iPhone Shots+Snapseed)
Cuernavaca From: Nahuatl: Cuauhnāhuac (“Near the Woods"). It was established at the archeological site of Gualupita I by the Olmec, "The Mother Culture" of Mesoamerica, approximately 3200 years ago. It is also a municipality located about 85 km (53 mi) south of Mexico City on the D-95 freeway.

The city was nicknamed the "City of Eternal Spring" by Alexander von Humboldt in the nineteenth century. It has long been a favorite escape for Mexico City and foreign visitors because of this warm, stable climate and abundant vegetation. Aztec emperors had summer residences there, and even today, many famous people as well as Mexico City residents maintain homes there. Cuernavaca is also host to a large foreign resident population, including large numbers of students who come to study the Spanish language.

After The Storm

Delta Mall
(iPhone Shot)

If anyone wants to take better iPhone shots, I'd say the way to go is not to get hung up on apps but to focus on the basics of photography, like composition, light, surface and form. Everything else follows from that.

Evening Clouds

(iPhone Lens+Snapseed App)

At the entrance, my bare feet on the dirt floor, Here, gusts of heat; at my back, white clouds. I stare and stare. It seems I was called for this: To glorify things just because they are.
Czeslaw Milosz

The Temple of the Sacred Family, one of the major symbols of the Roma district, started being built in 1910 by the architect Manuel Gorozpe and the engineer Miguel Rebolledo, and was sponsored by the Jesuit congregation. After a period of inactivity, the Parrish was inaugurated on November 19 1925, date in which its tower and clock were given their blessing.

This temple reflects several styles fashionable in the early 20th Century, among which we can find elements of the neo-Romanesque, neo-Gothic and eclectic styles that manage to come together harmoniously in this place.

One of the most outstanding aspects of this temple are its beautiful stained glass windows, which were made by the Italian company Talleri, and in which we can observe representations of different Bible passages and the mysteries of the Christian faith. [mexicocity-guide.com]
