Beauty is certainly a soft, smooth, slippery thing, and therefore of a nature which easily slips in and permeates our souls.
Plato, Lysis
The Magic of the Cities.
Zen promotes the rediscovery of the obvious, which is so often lost in its familiarity and simplicity. It sees the miraculous in the common and magic in our everyday surroundings. When we are not rushed, and our minds are unclouded by conceptualizations, a veil will sometimes drop, introducing the viewer to a world unseen since childhood. ~ John Greer

Really nice photo of this old houses Carraol!
Wish you a wonderful day! ; )
well done as always!!:))
The name Woodstock certainly evokes memories(not first hand unfortunately) of that famous festival which is a complete contrast to your photo. Thanks for the informative post.
A powerful photograph, with a beauty in those old houses that seems to come from a time when I was a child. Trees reaching simultaneously skyward and to the depths of the earth. Love the quotes too. Didn't make it to Woodstock but have watched a recent documentary and remember the time well. I've been both attracted to the spirit of music and love, and repelled by the lack of care for the earth. Many thoughts triggered from one beautiful photograph.. thank you!
